Residents living in Padstow, Padstow Heights, Revesby, Revesby Heights, Panania, Picnic Point, East Hills and Milperra areas may be able to save money on their power bills by taking advantage of the NSW state government’s free Home Power Savings program.

Those who take part in the program could potentially save up to $265 a year on their electricity bills thanks to the program’s offering of a home energy assessment, a home power savings kit, and a home power savings action plan.

Items that are included in the power savings kit are a standby saver power board, shower timer, water-efficient shower head, tap aerator and draught stoppers. All of these items can be installed for free as part of the program.

The Home Power Savings Program is available for eligible Centrelink and Department of Veterans Affairs cardholders as well as social housing tenants and some utility customers.

The program can greatly help to reduce household energy use and carbon emissions so if you are eligible then it is well worth being a part of.

You can call 1300 662 416 or visit the Home Power Savings website for further information.
