Padstow local news | whats on 18th April, 2012 No Comments

The 25th of April is a significant date on any Australian or Kiwi calendar. With many soldiers past and present having fought for our country and braved conditions and horrors that are simply unimaginable to most of us, it’s a day for us all to pay tribute and give thanks for the sacrifices our service men and women have made to keep Australia a free country.

Whilst many people travel to Sydney’s CBD to take part or watch the ANZAC Day Parade, there are also many local RSL clubs offering public memorial services (details below). If you want to show your ANZAC spirit this year to commemorate our ANZAC’s, remember to take some time on April 25thto remember what it means to live in a democratic, free society, that has only been made possible through the grit and determination of our defence forces.
